Lauren began partnering with IIT’s College of Architecture (CoA) as a teaching assistant during her graduate studies. Lauren continues to collaborate with the institution as a creative consultant, photographer, and adjunct faculty member.

Lauren was commissioned by the CoA to document the student-designed installation at an international modern and contemporary art expo. As part of the SOFA CONNECT Competition at the 2018 Sculptural Objects Functional Arts (SOFA) Expo at Navy Pier in Chicago, Illinois, students competed to design a seating & lighting installation that would provide a gathering/rest area within the exhibition.

Commissioned by the CoA faculty, Lauren has photographed and cataloged student-designed furniture and models for both fall and spring semesters of the academic year for the past ten years. Lauren carefully photographs the products from every angle, highlighting specific details and applications. Photographs are shared with the students for use in their academic portfolios.
